Head of Sales / Business Development, Wealth Management
Job description

Responsibilities

  • Manage all sales and AEs activities involving business development of cross border activities;
  • Formulate clients acquisition tactics through workable sales strategy and execution of marketing event/sales activities to develop client base;
  • Cultivate strong relationship with clients and broaden the high-net-worth client network;
  • Analyse client needs and develop business in private wealth management including but not limited to wealth creation, wealth accumulation, wealth enhancement, wealth protection, legacy planning to achieve financial goals at different financial stages of clients;
  • Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve sales goal and drive new revenues from all wealth management products while maintaining acceptable returns on risk;
  • Enhance existing clients' portfolios through offering suitable wealth management solutions within our diversified range of products in private banking and securities platforms;
  • Identify and interpret the market drivers to source new opportunities;
  • Maintain and build relationships with business partners, at both head office and branch level, and licensed institutions for business;
  • Business potential analysis and pricing negotiation;
  • Perform risk analysis, prepare and recommend business proposals for approvals;
  • Work proactively with product teams to cross sell products and services;
  • Fosters a "Risk and Compliance" culture and ensures all legal and regulatory requirements for products and services are met;
  • Full compliance with internal guidelines and external regulatory bodies.
  • Participate in Ad hoc assignment / projects as required by the management

Requirements

  • Preferably a Degree holder or equivalent in Business, Economics, Finance or related discipline;
  • Minimum 8 years experiences in wealth management, preferably from private banking or premium personal banking or securities brokerage firms in HK or China; 
  • Sales-oriented with strong relationship building skills;
  • Good knowledge in insurance products, bonds, funds and other wealth management products;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Strong PRC connection and exposure is an advantage;
  • Holder of SFC license for Types 1,2,4,5& 9 regulated activity.

  • Cultivate strong relationship with clients and broaden the high-net-worth client network;
  • Analyze client needs and develop business in private wealth management including but not limited to wealth creation, wealth accumulation, wealth enhancement, wealth protection, legacy planning to achieve financial goals at different financial stages of clients;
  • Build and motivate the sales team to achieve sales goal;

Requirements
